Q: Me & a group of my friends from work want to take a class together.
Do you offer a group discount, etc?
First, each person should add their profile to my email newsletter.
You can indicate "Cindy's Group" or friend's names:
You can also label it by your workplace "MHS"
Please note that groups will require their own class timeslot.
Since likely you will all be first-timers: you begin together.
The class is for beginners.
As for a discount: I haven't though up a catchy promotion yet.
Each person can pay $15. $7.50 If they are just observing.
If your group is larger than 9, I recommend carpooling.
If you are just three ladies, you can request a private.
My rate for privates (56$) is the same for one person or two,
so you can split it 28.50 for 1 & 1/2 hours.
Each extra person is $15.
This is not the same as bachelorette/birthday parties: see above.
Q: What is the Name of your School?
K
I didn't want to follow the exact business model of the studios I grew up with.
I wanted a space where I could teach exactly what, when and I how I chose.
I opened my school so I could have control over my schedule.
I was being limited by directors and I needed creative freedom.
My studios are multi media arts destinations.
I wanted an oasis theme.
I want each person to be treated like royalty.
I am not part of any franchise.
I designed my studios to be an extention of my home.
The official name for my parent company is KOmnimedia.com
We are in process regestering with the state of North Carolina.
My corporate headquarters is in NC because I have family there,
My Mentor and Mother, Sumra & Uncle Bey.
The Hollywood Florida Studio is : Heart, K Design Studio
The Charlotte, NC is: Studio S
The Tulsa OK is: JK Studios
(Named J for my Dad, John & Brother Jesse)
I have a bunch of DBA's too.
Q: What is the Main Website?
I have about 70+ dance websites.
My primary site is www.56dance.com
I update that site for one month each year.
I am currently locked out as my laptop is in repair:
My new PC we are having technical difficulties installing
the webdesign softwares.
So Any updates for Pole Dance will be posted here until 2010.
(outdated prices on 56Dance.com, we now have lower tuition!)
SOME are fowarded there until 2010.
My 28 pole & bachelorette websites are: (see contuct us page)

For privacy, and safety; I do not publicise the numbers of my addresses.
My First Studio is in Hollywood, FL 33021.
Sheridan Street near 441, Between I95 & Turnpike.

for those who register online, and who we speak over the phone.

So will I have a fulltime male production assistant
who will accompany you to and from your vehicle.

We lock the doors during sessions.
We are not open to drop-ins or walk by foot traffic.
My studio is By Appointment Only.
I step out whenever I have to, to run errands.
In 2013 all 3 of my studios will have fulltime receptionists.
I'm working on installing a buzzer, intercom, and gate.
Eventually I aim to operate the Davie, FL center 24 hours: 2016+.
I'm looking into purchasing acres of land to custom build.
My dream facility is a 24 hour mini retreat:
gym/internet/cafe/spa/pool/lounge/juicebar/banquets
gallery/ballroom/park/fitness trail/garden/events
Q: Do you have classes in North Broward?
P.S. I also coach out of GoldCoast Ballroom in Coconut Creek (not pole).
I meet some of my wedding couples there,
and ladies who live in Pompano or north...
You can meet me in person there by appointment.
There is no pole at this location: only ballroom.
You don't have to take a class unless you want to.
I advise women who are professional dancers
to take a master class in ballroom/latin for your stage presence.
Q: Do you Teach Out of Your House?
No, I do not sleep at the Studio!
Sheridan Street is zoned for business use or residential.
Half the buildings used to be Homes
and then were converted to office use.
You will see other small businesses like a salon, legal, tickets...
We (My Dad & I) are rebuilding the shower.
I lived near the Golf Coarse in Hollywood for 11 years.
I go swimming every day at the pool.
My Husband, SDAM & I are in the middle of moving to Miami Beach.
Q: What does the sign out side look like?
Our sign is very discreet.
It simply does not have a picture of a pole.
It has my "Heart, K" Logo only.
Q: What is Your Name Again?
Kelly-Anne LeSal
otherwise known as: :)
Peanut Butter & Kelly, Kellinda, Kelsita, Kella Bella, Karizma,
the Kellermeister, the Kellineator, Kellsey, Kellisima, Kellisterical
Kelster, Kelly's Jelly Belly, K, Heart K, Kay Alva ...etc.
I didn't like my Last Name & I just Married (June 30th), so
I coined both my parents's names to "LeSal"
My Married name is Kelly Anne Alvarez,
but I haven't officially changed it yet.
Q: Where should I/We park?
I chose a location not in a plaza,
but a free standing building with landscaping.
I wanted the ability to expand upwards.
I wanted onsite free dedicated parking
which is why I no longer teach in Downtown.
You can park anywhere on my property, where there is a curb.
but please not on my neighbor's businesses.
I have purchased the vacant lot ajacent to my building.
We will be paving more spaces.
You will see one spot with Director K sign.
That's not an indication if I am there or out.
I have more than one company vehicle.
Please try not to use my spot if another is available.
You will see a circular "drop-off" area.
That is not parking, it's the loading area.
Q: Are you remaining open during the recession?
Yes Absolutely.
The economy has not affected my business.
You can expect my studios to stay open for many years.
We have sufficient operating reserves, soon to be debt free.
I purchase the business locations, instead of renting.
I have a 30 year business plan.
I can say that I do pay myself minimum wage.
I pay myself 7.25/hour of coaching/22 hours.
I currently have a salary of 165$/52weeks.
I put 5,000/year into my IRA in a CD at HRBlock.
The rest of my 3,500 I spend or save.
(Trying to sell the condo)!
My Husband takes care of my housing,
nutrition, gas, cell phone, equipment...
Q: Is Teaching Dance all You do for Work?
I have many creative interests.
I stay with my family, in Spruce Pine, NC, and Bartlesville, OK.
I'm planning on buying inexpensive fixer upper rental Homes under 20K.
Also I have a passion for Mixed use Work/Live Propertys.
I build websites for Real Estate and Other Businesses.
I am doing a Markiting Campaign for a Hair Salon in N.Miami:
Moisture Magic & Mist & HMS The Foom
I work 7 days/week/365/year. I get up early.
When I'm not teaching, filming, writing, recording, or cleaning:
You can find me at the gym, at the pool, or shopping for Costumes.
I study, read, sleep, and feed the outside cats.
I also go to the doctors or dentist... so I step out.
Q: How long have you been in business?
I began my Paid Professional Dance career at age 19. I'm 32 now.
The pole classes began when I baught my own practice pole
and had it in my home studio, about 6 years ago.
I was THE FIRST pole coach in South Florida.
I had a handful of private students immediatly.
I told a studio owner that I had alot of demand for pole.
I took my platinum stage to the studio where
I was renting space for my ballroom classes.
I had an awesome time with the once per month workshops,
until I just HAD to have my own, larger space, with all my equipment.
Before I was a Dancer, as a teenager before age 18:
I cleaned houses, was a hostess, retail cashier...
My First job was Babysitting, then Cashiering :)
I had to earn my lunch money.
Q: Do you teach anywhere else?
I just launched www.waterworkout.info and www.aquaaerobics.info
I do not want teach at anyone else's dance studio for 2010:
Although I used to and still get invited.
I'm happy with all my Stuff around me.
I do take class at other pole studios, too just for fun.
I like to hear the comments when a pilates instructor exclaimes
"I see a dancer's legs in this group!"
I'm usually the most flexable person in any yoga class.
As for Ballet, they can see my training, but I'm not a prima kellerina.
I will take up master classes for other studio owners again in 2014.
Q: How many & what kind of Poles do you have?
The first pole I bought for my living room was a portable pole.
Now I keep my Platinum stage in Storage,
I had to buy a cargo van to transport it!
It's ready to join the grand opening party.
I prefer a rotating pole to dance with.
So I gave myself a birthday present!
My new boyfriend & loyal partner: My New BF Pole:
I call him "Mr. X Pole" :)
He's Tall, Strong, Fashionable, Reliable
I own 12 poles total.
3 in each location, and 3 portable ones.
Brass poles can be stinky.
I have different heights, from 7-8 feet to 15 feet.
I also have proper safety equipment, like matts.
Q: Do you coach MEN?
YES, we also coach men on the pole.
All classes are co-ed.
You may see an advertisement that says women or ladies only.
That's not totally accurate.
I used to work in a women's only fitness center.
I personally LIKE co-ed gyms. I am a ballroom dancer.
I dance with and for men, too.
I have a juniors ballroom class for boys and girls.
While I do have one hour dedicated to men's pole,
I personally only have had 3 malesn in class and a dozen call.
Two admitted to being gay. One wasn't.
It shouldn't be an issue what one's orientation is.
I might ask. I don't really want to know.
Two were professional performers, wanting to grow.
The other wanted to become an assistant coach or spotter.
It generally takes 10 years to be fully formed as a pro.
If you have a gymnastics or circus background,
and want to take up vertical dancesport: ok!
So I have a men's class that is different material from women.
Some of the moves are more masculine.
I also coach pas de deux, or adagio (lifts)
in ballroom & ballet. Guys are welcome.
I don't teach male stripping, although I have peeked!
Q: Do you go to peoples homes to give a pole class?
I, K, personally do only go to Residences if they are renting my pole.
We are not installing Poles inside hotel rooms at this time.
The price for this is $175-$250.
We have 4 different set ups to choose from:
Broward, Miami-Dade, West palm or the Keys.
1) a 4x4 foot stage with a 7 foot pole (does not touch a ceiling)
--------
I spent alot of money on chandaliers and buildout.
Your group is welcome to come over to my studio
to celebrate your birthday!
I understand you may be celebrating at a Resort.
And you may want to have a designated driver.
After 2 years of intense location scouting:
I decided central Broward was the best choice.
Sheridan Street is an I95 corridore.
My studio is near the Hard Rock, Hollywood, FL
which I am just 1 street south of:
so Bachelorette Parties are welcome. (Limo please)
Q: What ages do you teach?
Pole is 18+
I have primarily an adult centered Ballroom studio.
I do have traditional children's and teen classes.
The Poles become the Mayflower Dance with ribbons.
I do not allow kids to swing from the pole.
The 3 year olds do hold on and walk around when they are idle.
The pole studio will be in a separate adult only room, when we expand.
I do not allow teenagers to take pole at this time.
My initial exposure to Pole dance was from adult nightclubs,
and it can be extremely athletic at the competative level. 18+
My first 18 year old brought her mom with her to the studio, to sign up.
She was a very sweet exotic dancer, looking to improve.
In some cities performers must be 21 to exotic dance.
Although, the class is not really focused on being sensual or sexy,
some of the music is insinuating romance.
Also, I do not want to encourage any amature woman
to enter the adult nightclub business.
I do support continuing education for those who are already active,
or who have passed their first audition.
I'd rather see Women become Medical Doctors than "Entertainers".
So women 18+ of all ages including 20's, 30's 40's 50's & 60's...
are most welcome in pole dance class.
For youth -18, and for adults we have juniors ballroom,
ballet, jazz, yoga, pilates, hip-hop, creative movement,
latin, freestyle, bellydance, etc.
Q: What days & times are the classes?
2010:
My Hollywood FL studio is open full time 9 months of the year.
I travel to other cities in the spring & summer.
So when I will be away, I will either have guest master teachers:
or will simply let you know which dates I will be out of town.
I am a snow bird,
so you can count on me being near the beach during the winters!
So The studio is available from 8am-11pm 7 days/week.
My favorite day is Sunday, so I schedule most activities for it.
New students are preferred to begin on Sundays.
I do like to sing with a church choir,
so I begin my sessions in the afternoon.
Sometimes I get a few last minute wedding couples in the am sessions.
Pole Group classes will be 5 times/week for FALL 2010.
I pace myself. I need time to recover, to plan.
The workshop is once per month.
Privates can be anytime.
Lately I have a show so I am scheduled at 11am-8pm some days:
So I can do an evening or a morning.
2010:
I will be auditioning for other Major Broadcasts.
If I get on a show, classes by me will be postponed, as I will be in LA.
I will be visiting & working in NY summer 2010.
I also will be filming my music video in Las Vegas.
I will likely have a substitute guest artist.
I have been producing a line of dvds for your convenience.
Don't worry, no matter how busy I seem,
I always look foward to hearing from you.
Text me your email address ... 954-624-6619
K 954-551-6001
Q: Can We Hire You for our Event/Show/TV ?
I did have MTV call me to ask me to stage a
Pole contest for a reality dating show.
I was also asked to submit a video for a televised contest.
We helped Dancing With the Stars Film in 2008...
So Maybe...
Q: Can we rent your Portable Pole?
Yes, I offer a Platinum Stage Setup Rental for $175-250
This covers up to 24 hours.
So if you have an event,
We deliver, install, decorate...
and remove the Pole/Stage for you.
(I just bought a minivan for this purpose)
:)
Q: Do you sell poles online here?
Where can I buy my own practice pole?
Ahh! My paragraph got deleted, stay tuned as I recompose.
I will have poles that you can buy soon here!
check back ..
